MALAYSIA AIRLINES’ Golden Lounge will undergo a major facelift by the end of the year, which will be followed by new business and first class lounges at KLIA and London’s Heathrow in mid-2017.
Extensive redesigns will be carried out to provide guests with “an exciting new pre-flight experience”.
The new lounges will see live demonstration kitchens which will allow guests to interact with chefs, as well as new fine dining options in the first class lounge.
New WiFi services with faster speed will also be offered, accompanied with the addition of universal power sockets.
The new changes are designed by KL-based firm Duoz, responsible for projects including the Marriott Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia Airlines chief commercial officer Paul Simmons said, “We want the space to encapsulate the richness of travel with the airline.”
Recently, Malaysia’s national carrier was at the center of news after chief executive officer and managing director Christoph Mueller unexpectedly stepped down from his posts.
