AEROSPACE conglomerate Embraer has unveiled its new private aircraft design featuring a spacious Kyoto-inspired interior, skylights and large vertical windows to let sunlight in.
Novel features of the aircraft include skylights, viewing platforms and large door-sized windows that look out into the sky even when cruising 35,000 feet in the air.
During the design process, the Embraer team imagined a Japanese traveler who would want to sit on the floor rather than on a seat, resulting in lower windowsills that allow passengers to look out no matter their position.

This new design is said to be “revolutionary” for the future of air travel, as passengers needn’t strain their heads to cop a view of the sky outside their windows.
Although the large windows could bathe the cabin in sunlight, flying above the clouds could make the cabin quite hot.
The jet also features 19 seats, a central living area, a bedroom, a walk-in shower, a dining room and a kitchen complete with espresso machines, ovens and a dishwasher. On top of that, passengers can make use of Blu-ray players, televisions and WiFi connectivity.
Once on the private jet market, the aircraft may cost upwards of US$12,000 per hour to book.
