THE WORLD’S MONUMENTS LOOK BEAUTIFUL in the night time, when they’re all lit up. But that light has a price. And in an age where we’re not only trying to cut back on energy usage, but also on light pollution and general wastefulness, the cost of lighting our monuments can start to get expensive.

Side note: this lists the prices in British pounds. The exchange rate to US dollars, as of this writing, is around $1.4 to every £1.00.
