Delta will add five destinations from Boston in the late summer, continuing its Beantown expansion.

Beginning Sept. 10, Delta will fly daily from Boston to Jacksonville; up to three times daily to Buffalo, N.Y.; and six times weekly from to Austin, Kansas City and Norfolk, Va. The carrier will be the first to fly Boston-Norfolk.

Delta will compete with Southwest in the Boston-Kansas City and Boston-Austin markets. It will compete with Boston’s largest carrier, JetBlue, on the Jacksonville route and with JetBlue and American, Boston’s second-largest carrier, on the Buffalo route.

By the fall, Delta said it will operate more than 100 peak-day departures to 32 destinations from Boston. The airline has added 12 destinations from Boston since November 2016.
