Windstar Cruises has partnered with a luggage delivery company to offer passengers door-to-ship baggage service before or after a cruise.
Using the firm Luggage Forward, guests can send their luggage from their doorstep directly to their ship’s accommodation and home from the ship.
Costs vary by the cities served. To ship between New York and Barcelona, for example, Luggage Forward charges $149 for a small (25 pound) bag, $259 for a standard (50 pound) bag and $359 for an oversized (75 pound) bag.
Luggage Forward serves 200 countries. Customers can track their bags in real time.
“Whatever size your bag is, not dragging it through the airport enhances the ease and freedom of your travel experience,” Windstar president John Delaney said.
