Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden has launched a new spa retreat – a royal retreat right next to the city’s most famous sights.

The new wellness centre is expected to open next summer.

“After more than 20 years, renovation was urgently needed,” explained Marten Schwass, managing director of Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden.

“We are very excited to be offering an even better travel experience for our guests with the comfort of the new wellness area.”

Not only was the pool area completely renovated and modernised, but also a newly designed treatment and sauna area with state-of-the-art equipment and unique baroque design elements was created to reflect the appearance of Dresden.

The two Finnish saunas are a real eye-catcher, with a copper kettle for aroma infusions and an oversized clock by C.H. Wolf/Glashütte integrated into the ceiling of the sauna or the famous Fürstenzug mural.

Three treatment rooms are available for massages, pedicures, manicures and single or couple treatments; the steam bath and infrared cabin are ideal for warming and relaxing the body in a therapeutic way and complete the wellness range.

The modern atmosphere of the pool area is enhanced by a blue tile mirror with the Kempinski logo.

To the right and left of the 5m x 11m pool, individual lounge suites invite you to relax.

Spacious, bright and luxurious changing rooms with lockable compartments as well as towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided. Refreshing cocktails, aromatic water or juices are served at the wellness bar.
