Air Tanzania’s Johannesburg-Dar es Salaam service will be interrupted due to the grounding of one of its aircraft.
In a statement released by the airline, the schedule disruption is projected to continue for the rest of the week on the Monday, Wednesday and Friday flights.
The airline says it will endeavour to re-accommodate all ticketed passengers on affected flights on other airlines to their final destinations, and is using mainly SAA and Kenya Airways to rebook affected passengers.
Since the service interruption on Friday, August 23, all booked and ticketed passengers have been successfully rebooked on other airlines and transported to their final destination, according to the airline.
The Government of Tanzania and the senior management of Air Tanzania are working on resuming operations as soon as possible, the statement concludes.
Passengers can report to OR Tambo International Airport to departure Terminal A as scheduled and an Air Tanzania representative will meet them at the check-in desk and guide them to the rebooked airline for travel.
