LOS ANGELES — Choice Hotels unveiled its first new brand in more than a decade here at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit.

A midscale extended-stay brand, Everhome Suites, will have a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartment-style accommodations.

Each accommodation will feature a spa-like bathroom and fully equipped kitchen outfitted with full-sized appliances, flatware and cookware. Smaller kitchen appliances, including tools like blenders, crockpots and electric tabletop grills, will be available for rent at the front desk.

Other key brand components include modern and sophisticated public spaces, spacious fitness centers, locally inspired decor and 24/7, self-serve marketplaces selling hot and cold breakfast options.

“Our target guest is the value-conscious consumer who is driven to be successful both personally and professionally,” said Choice CEO Patrick Pacious. “And the data tells us that demand far exceeds supply for hotel stays of seven nights or more. Everhome Suites is set up to capture this unmet demand.”

The first Everhome Suites has broken ground in Corona, Calif., and is expected to open by 2021. An additional 13 locations in the Austin and Los Angeles markets are in the pipeline.

Everhome joins WoodSpring Suites, MainStay Suites and Suburban Extended Stay in Choice Hotels’ extended-stay portfolio.

According to Pacious, Choice Hotels has tripled its presence in the extended-stay space over the past two years, growing to more than 400 hotels.
