IHG released its latest list of PointBreaks hotels, valid through July 31, 2016. IHG’s previous PointBreaks list was supposed to be valid through April 30, 2016, however, the new list of properties appeared unexpectedly. All of the approximately 140 worldwide properties are available at the discounted rate as of today.
Some of the properties included in this round of PointBreaks offer tremendous value, especially for the Crowne Plaza properties, which normally require between 20,000 and 50,000 IHG Rewards points per night. Just like with the last round of PointBreaks properties, there don’t appear to be any InterContinental properties on the list, which would offer exceptional value if any were included.
To book, go to the property’s website and you’ll see the 5,000-point redemptions as an option if there’s still availability. Although many of the properties may not pique your interest on first glance, if the hotels fit with your travel plans, it could be worth the redemption. It’s also worth noting that there are many properties located in college towns, so if you’re planning on traveling for graduations this summer when rates are normally higher than average, this could also mean excellent redemptions. This property, located in Manchester, UK, is located 1.5 miles from the City Centre. It’s also a two-stop tram ride from the popular Victoria Station in Manchester. Rates at this property normally go for 15,000 IHG Rewards points per night.
Crowne Plaza Managua
This property is centrally located in Nicaragua’s capital city of Managua, making it within walking distance or a short drive of many of the top sightseeing attractions in the city. Rates at this property normally go for 20,000 IHG Rewards points per night.
