In a further development in the already existing partnership with car hire company Sixt, bmi has launched a new chauffeur driven car service.

myDriver is the latest innovation from the airline as it moves towards offering an enhanced, integrated, comprehensive travel solution for its customers.

Commenting on the launch, bmi chief commercial officer, Jochen Schnadt, said: “bmi is focusing on developing a product that offers the complete ‘travel’ package to our business and leisure customers.

“They are already enjoying the benefits of booking car hire and accommodation through our partner links to Sixt and Booking.com.

“myDriver takes this to the next level.

“All bmi customers will be able to seamlessly book their entire journey and accommodation via flybmi.com.

“Sixt’s philosophy and style matches that of bmi with both businesses offering an upscale, pan European product that is designed to enable customers to enjoy an enhanced and seamless door to door service.”

myDriver is available to book on most bmi routes.

The car service will enable users to be collected directly from the arrivals terminal and driven to the location of their choice in a luxury vehicle and is bookable via flybmi.com.

Johannes Boeinghoff, managing director of myDriver said: “Especially at regional airports it can be very convenient to pre-reserve a transfer or private taxi service with Sixt myDriver, to seamlessly get to or from the airport at reasonable prices.

“We are very happy that bmi offers their passengers our special service as part of the online reservation process.”
