Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. In this case, however, you’ll need to search through Google and book on Norwegian’s site. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel.
To book the cheapest fares with Norwegian Air, you can book your tickets on the Norwegian version of the website (select “Norge” as the language). Prices will be displayed in the Norwegian Krone, but you can save a good amount of money on each flight — the Oakland to London flight costs $245 in USD, but only $188 (1,538 NOK) on the Norwegian version of the website.
Since these are one-way itineraries, the price for the return trip (London to Oakland) is quoted in the local currency — the British Pound if you select English as your language. However, you’ll save money once again by booking your ticket in the Norwegian version of the site. In this case, the ticket costs just $322 when booking in the Norwegian Krone versus $346 if you booked the ticket in British Pounds.
These are undoubtedly great fares, but also note that Norwegian will add fees for just about everything ranging from checked bags to food to a credit card transaction surcharge, so you might end up adding a bit more to your fare. If you’re looking for more perks included in the ticket price, you can try out Norwegian’s premium product, which includes larger seats, lounge access, free checked bags, seat assignment and meals.
