Barceló Hotel Group – operators of Dukes Dubai on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai – have revealed plans for a new venture in the United Arab Emirates.
Looking north, the group has ambitions to launch a new five-star property on Al Marjan Island in Ras al Khaimah.
The all-new, all-inclusive hotel is expected to debut in the second half of 2021.
The 500 key hotel will include access to a private beach, an extensive selection of restaurants and bars, meeting rooms, swimming pools and spas.
Promising “high-quality hospitality, contemporary appeal and attentive service”, the property will be the brand’s seventh venture in the UAE.
Their portfolio currently includes Barcelo Residences Dubai Marina, Occidental IMPZ, Occidental Sharjah Grand and Dukes Dubai on the Palm Jumeirah.
“Al Marjan Island is a special destination that is continuing to grow in popularity within the leisure market,” commented Raúl González, chief executive of Barceló Hotel Group.
He went on to describe the upcoming hotel as “a perfect addition to our existing hotel portfolio in the region and globally.”
Al Marjan Island is an archipelago of four manmade islands off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah.
Spanning 4.5 kilometres into the sea, the islands are already home to three hotels; Rixos Bab Al Bahr, DoubleTree by Hilton Al Marjan Island and Marjan Island Resort & Spa.
