Eurowings will offer its customers no less than four car hire companies as of this month, with vehicles from Hertz, Thrifty, Avis and Budget now available when making the flight booking.
The new partnership with Hertz is set to run for three years.
The two Hertz and Thrifty offerings provide hire cars for every occasion.
Oliver Wagner, chief commercial officer, Eurowings, said: “No other airline in Europe is currently growing faster than Eurowings.
“Our aim is not only to sell our customers flights from A to B but also to provide them with reliable support and guidance along the entire travel chain.
“We are pleased that in Hertz we have found a partner who will offer our customers top quality at fair prices.”
This new partnership means that Eurowings can offer an even larger range of hire cars and satisfy every price requirement, supplying a flight that is optimised right up to the final destination.
Michel Taride, group president of Hertz International, added: “We are pleased to be working with the fastest growing airline in Europe.
“With the Hertz and Thrifty brands, which will be available for booking on Eurowings.com, we can offer both private customers and business travellers a wide range of hire car options and products each designed to suit their budget and needs.
“We look forward to delivering a first-class car hire experience and excellent value for money for Eurowings guests.”
Avis has already been a partner of the low-cost airline since 2007 and is now expanding its offering by adding the Budget brand.
Martin Gruber, managing director of Avis Budget in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and the Czech Republic, continued: “Extension of the partnership between Avis and Eurowings is the result of our continuing commitment to offering our partners and their customers first-class products and services.
“We are pleased that we can add the Budget brand to the partnership and we are pleased to be working with Eurowings to provide our customers with a seamless travel mobility solution.”
The new agreement also starts as of March 2018 and is set to run for several years.
Passengers booking a Eurowings flight can simply add an Avis or Budget hire car during the flight booking process – regardless of the country they’re travelling to.
