WNYC recently asked 12 year olds from different racial backgrounds some questions about race. Some share about stereotypes that they have to battle every day. Some explain how they are ostracized. Others talk about the anxiety that they deal with from always feeling like they have to prove themselves. One powerfully tells how race can make them fear for their safety.
