Mantis has signed a partnership with one of Zambia’s favourite camps in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.

Lion Camp has been delivering truly memorable safari experiences over the past ten years, and after major renovation, will reopen in May 2018 under Mantis management.

The entire camp has been rebuilt, and now features a larger main area deck and two new suites in the camp’s prime locations.

Lion Camp’s unique location, abundant wildlife and dedicated team will remain the same while the new camp will provide a greater level of luxury to be enjoyed between activities.

The main area has additional space and light and the new rooms have been designed to maximise the views.

The eight luxury rooms retain the essential ‘tree house’ aesthetic, with canvas walls and a thatch roof, but with even more comfort including Evening Breeze cooling units.

In addition to these rooms, Lion Camp will be reopening with two new luxurious suites which offer more privacy and ideal accommodation for honeymooners and families with one or two children younger than 12 years.

At the core of Lion Camp’s renovations are strong sustainable principles and a commitment to ensuring minimal impact on the environment with maximum longevity; supporting the local environment whilst conserving and maintaining all-natural resources.

The Lion Camp guest experience remains true to its roots.

When the camp reopens, the same dedicated team of highly experienced and qualified guides will lead guests on game drives, night drives and walking safaris in South Luangwa National Park where walking safaris originated.

Lion Camp offers an authentic Zambian safari with the flexibility to adapt to individual guest needs.
