PortMiami and MSC Cruises held a ribbon-cutting for an expanded Terminal F at the port, which will become the home for the MSC Seaside when it arrives in South Florida for year-round Caribbean cruising later this month.
“With only two weeks to go until the arrival of MSC Seaside, we couldn’t be more thrilled to take this step with PortMiami and ensure we are able to provide an enhanced and seamless vacation for our guests right from embarkation,” said Roberto Fusaro, president of MSC Cruises USA.
The two-story, 38,282-square-foot terminal now includes seating for up to 1,500 passengers and a ticketing hall with 60 new counter positions.
There is also an 1,100-square-foot VIP area for guests of the MSC Yacht Club, a 3,000-square-foot special group lounge, a more flexible and efficient baggage claim area and enhancements to speed embarkation in partnership with some of the smart-ship technology on MSC Seaside.
