South African-based Melenial Miles, a division of Melenial Media, has launched new group experiences for travellers who plan their calendars around South Africa’s biggest events.
It is the brainchild of the company’s Operations Director, Simbongile Ndlangisa, and the first group experience – The Cape Town Luxury Jazz Festival Experience – has been curated around the Cape Town International Jazz Festival on March 23-24.
Asked about the decision, Ndlangisa said: “We thought of all the great experiences that the South African events calendar had to offer and saw a need for curated experiences that would cater for travellers coming from abroad and from different cities around South Africa.”
Melenial Miles seeks to give event attendees an opportunity to be luxury tourists. The Luxury Jazz Experience includes staying in a beach villa with a personal chef and photographer; a champagne tasting; attending a local fashion show; lunching in the Cape vineyards while enjoying the jazz in a VVIP suite; and complimentary drinks and food for the weekend. This experience costs R15 000 (€1 010) per person.
Ndlangisa says further event-based group experiences are in the pipeline and will be launched soon.
