RwandAir will start flying to Cape Town via Harare from December 2.
The Kigali-based airline suspended flights on March 20 when the Rwandan government closed airspace to combat the spread of COVID-19.
A RwandAir spokesperson told Tourism Update: “Following the easing of travel restrictions, our three times a week service will resume, with flights operating on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.”
A Bombardier CRJ-900 NextGen will be used on the route, with seven seats in business class and 68 in economy. The flight will depart Kigali at 07h20 and arrive in Cape Town at 14h20, via Harare. The return flight will depart Cape Town at 15h20 and arrive in Kigali at 22h20.
The airline resumed its London service last month, with two weekly flights from Kigali to Heathrow.
The Rwandan government opened its airspace a few weeks ago after introducing a number of COVID-19 preventative measures. All travellers must adhere to the health guidelines.
