Namiri Plains, on the Ngare Nanyuki River in the eastern Serengeti, will relaunch later this year following upgrades to its accommodation and experience offerings.

New decks and viewing areas will be added to maximise wildlife sightings.

The rooms will undergo significant upgrades, offering sliding doors that run the full length of the room and open on to a full-length viewing deck. Bathrooms will also offer full views of the seasonal riverbed from the shower, through large glass sliding doors that open on to the deck, where guests can relax in the outdoor bathtub.

Other features include a new camp library, and an information centre that offers guests a variety of informative artefacts, in-depth information about the area, as well as maps highlighting areas of interest.

The addition of a spa adds some indulgence to the safari experience, and is situated behind a grove of acacia trees for quiet and privacy.
