If you are not sure that the micro-home lifestyle is for you, a stay of a few nights in one of the five tiny houses available at Mt. Hood Tiny House Village should convince you.
Located less than an hour outside of Portland, nearby to Mt. Hood National Forest, this tiny-house resort offers five beautiful micro dwellings, made by Tumbleweed Tiny House Company, that range between 175 to 260 square feet. They are all equipped with a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, kitchen, loft space, bathroon, living room, storage, and a porch. All five homes have their own names are their own style — my personal favourite is Scarlett, but Savannah is a close second.
The Tiny House Village will welcome its first guests during Memorial Day Weekend and is currently accepting advanced bookings. One night in this special resort will cost $129 or $139, depending on which home you choose to stay at. Three of the tiny houses can sleep three people; the other two can sleep five.
Come and check out the Tiny House Village on May 20th for its grand opening.
