SINGAPORE is a shopping haven, a tiny island chock-full of cool shops, vintage finds and large departmental stores. But it caters just as well for luxury shoppers, as these high-end malls and stores are proof.

Marina Bay Sands is a one-stop destination for the luxury traveler. Within a cluster of attractions, tourists can visit the (world’s largest) rooftop infinity pool, restaurants by international celebrity chefs like Wolfgang Puck and Tetsuya Wakuda, a theatre that stages acclaimed Broadway musicals, and arguably the best museum in Singapore, the ArtScience Museum. But amidst all the buzz are luxury stores where names like Alexander McQueen and Burberry reside. Also make it a point to stop by TWG, a sleek tea boutique selling a range of premium teas.

This retail paradise on Orchard Road, is home to an impressive portfolio of luxury labels like Givenchy, Prada and Jimmy Choo. Although not as large as some of the other malls in the Orchard Road stretch, the stores at Paragon are hand-picked for a more refined experience. After a full day of shopping, it’s worth stopping by Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck Restaurant, a high-end Cantonese restaurant where the crispy-skinned duck is legendary.

Mandarin Gallery is a sleek mall along Orchard Road that houses a range of couture labels for the discerning shopper. The space is generally small, but offers shoppers an intimate, personalized experience that the mall prides itself on. With labels like Marc Jacobs, Emporio Armani, and Galliano, you can also expect professional butler-like service from shop assistants. Be sure to stop by Ashley Isham, a high-fashion Singaporean designer store catering to the higher echelons of locals. Also on site is one of Singapore’s best brunch spots, Wild Honey.

If putting up at Hilton Singapore, flex your credit cards within the hotel premises itself. At The Shopping Gallery, a curated selection of ultra-luxury stores is available within distance, including the likes of Jil Sander, Alexander Wang and Commes des Garcons. Even if not purchasing anything, some of the labels here are difficult to find elsewhere in Singapore, making for a nice stroll. A link on the second floor to Four Seasons will access you to some fine art pieces and even more shopping.

Unbeknownst to many, Raffles Hotel – arguably Singapore’s most beautiful heritage hotel and home of the Singapore Sling – hosts the Raffles Hotel Shopping Arcade, a unique shopping experience within rich architecture. One of the center’s signature stores is CYC Custom Shop, a bespoke tailoring service founded in 1935. The store was founded by Chiang Yik Ching and his wife, and has measured and created suits for some of Singapore’s most iconic figures including the country’s founding father himself, Lee Kuan Yew.
