Middle Eastern carrier, Qatar Airways, has introduced a new service to Botswana.

The airline now offers three weekly flights to the Sir Seretse Khama Airport in Gaborone, Botswana operated by an Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana Acting CEO, Kabo Phutietsile, said it would boost and grow the aviation industry and auxiliary industries.

Qatar Airways Group CE, His Excellency Akbar Al Baker, said Qatar was the first Middle East-based airline to fly to Botswana and now offered 23 destinations on the continent.
