The African Travel and Tourism Association (Atta) announced on Monday (February 18) a new partnership with Kenya Airways, which will be its new airline sponsor until February 2021.

Commenting on the new partnership, Atta CEO, Chris Mears, says: “We are excited to once again be working so closely with Kenya Airways, the Pride of Africa. Kenya Airways’ recent introduction of the New York, Rome and Geneva routes shows how the airline is connecting the world to Africa, a mission we share. We could not be happier to be collaborating with them to promote tourism to the African continent.’’

Sally Peters, Area Marketing & PR Manager for Kenya Airways, adds: “Kenya Airways is delighted to be returning as airline sponsor for Atta. With our amazing network across Africa and adding New York last November, as well as Rome and Geneva coming on line in June, we are increasing our footprint across Europe and the US, especially with our joint venture partnership with Air France KLM. Working with Atta as a partner, we truly do connect Africa to the World and the World to Africa.”

Kenya Airways will be supporting a range of events and tradeshows and will be highly visible in Atta’s collateral for the next two years.

Atta is Pan-Africa’s largest network of tourism products, promoting tourism to the continent from all corners of the world. It will continue to serve and support business in Africa, representing buyers and suppliers of tourism product across 600 members in 22 African countries. Atta is a non-profit organisation and relies on key strategic partnerships to ensure it can continue to promote travel to Africa.
