Auberge Resorts Collection will assume management of the beachfront Mukul resort in Nicaragua on Nov. 15.
The resort, which boasts four miles of private beachfront, has 23 “bohios,” which are treehouse-like forest dwellings that are perched 300 feet above the beach and include private plunge pools and wrap-around decks.
Also, Mukul has 12 beach villas as well as a 20,000-square-foot oceanfront compound with two six-bedroom suites, bringing its room total to 37.
Guests have access to a spa with six private pools, four restaurants, half-day surfing “surfaris” and an 18-hole golf course.
Billed as the country’s first luxury resort, Mukul, which means “secret” in Mayan, was built in 2013 within the Guacalito de la Isla private beach community.
Auberge’s other Central America resort is Costa Rica’s Hacienda AltaGracia.
