Badplaas Forever Resorts South Africa announced the official launch of its Hydro and Spa on June 7, following various upgrades which commenced in October 2017.

The upgrade has been under plan for two years, and commenced fully in October last year with the official construction commencing in January 2018. The coffee shop and spa both underwent complete renovations, and opened on March 26 and March 31 respectively.

Sandra Rath from the South African Association of Health and Skincare Professionals (SAAHSP) and from SDV Pharmaceuticals, who attended the launch of the Badplaas Hydro and Spa, said: “Being in the industry for the past 30 years, I can only say that the standard of this Spa exceeds expectations in all aspects. From ambience to style, staff to treatments, this Spa is a must experience.”

Badplaas is one of the few resorts in South Africa that boasts natural warm water springs. The spring water, which is filled with 32 natural minerals, is pumped into the Hydro pools, then from there into the heated pool outside, and finally to the other pools on the property, cooling down as it travels from one pool to another.

The Spa’s relaxation area consists of a 12-seater sauna, along with a relaxation pool filled with spring water; and specialist therapists look after the individual needs of customers in the tranquil surroundings.
