Baglioni Hotels will officially open its Maldivian resort on the island of Maagau in the Dhaalu Atoll in March 2019.

The island resort will be the first Italian luxury five-star resort in the Maldives.

Baglioni Resort Maldives will blend elegant design and Italian hospitality with tropical luxury in the heart of the Indian Ocean.

This exclusive resort will offer 96 villas with a selection of garden, beach or over-water options, as well as three family beach villas and a 1,230sqm super-luxe Presidential Water Villa.

The perimeter of this island has uninterrupted beaches and the northern part is only ten metres from the beautiful house reef.

Enjoy an unforgettable stay with a range of water sport activities and access to some of the best dive sites in the world, an Ayurvedic Garden Spa with Thai therapies and a prestigious gastronomic offering with a choice of three restaurants and Italian aperitifs served throughout the day, in collaboration with Ferrari Trento Wines.

Ideal for those with families, the resort will also offer a kid’s club from three-12 years old including theme days, cooking courses such as pizza and ice cream-making and indoor and outdoor play areas.

Just 40 minutes by seaplane from the capital Malé, the resort is easily accessible while feeling remote, far from other islands and away from busy cruise and seaplane routes.
