Carnival Cruise Line said the swimming pools in the aft of seven of its ships that had formerly been for adults only are now available for use by guests of all ages.
The change applies to pools on the Carnival Conquest, Glory, Valor, Liberty, Freedom, Splendor and Victory.
Carnival spokeswoman Jennifer De La Cruz said the change was made based the high volume of families aboard this time of year “although we very much appreciate the view of those who like having an adults-only pool option.”
De La Cruz said Carnival already has a number of ships on which all of the pools are already family-friendly. And she said with limited exceptions, there is an adults-only Serenity area on Carnival ships, which is available for guests seeking a kid-free environment.
She said that Carnival is currently assessing its plan going forward for the aft pool area.
