Classic Portfolio has opened its new Marataba Conservation Camps in South Africa’s Limpopo province.

The conservation-focused safari experience features two camps, Founders Camp and Explorers Camp, both in Marataba Contractual National Park, a privately managed section of the Marakele National Park.

From hands-on wildlife management and ecological conservation to exploring the wilderness on foot and engaging with technology-based protection solutions, this experience meets guests’ need to travel with a purpose.

This reimagining of the traditional safari experience offers guests the opportunity to learn and engage through active participation and play their part in the future of conservation.

Founders Camp, which offers four tented suites, can be booked exclusively to encourage a tailor-made stay, and Explorers Camp’s five tents and additional family tent can be booked on a semi-exclusive basis.

Tented suites accommodate two adults in twin or king configurations, plus a maximum of two children sharing in either a roll-away bed or a cot. The family tent at Explorers Camp has a separate children’s room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom.

Every booking is allocated a private conservation guide and vehicle, allowing for maximum flexibility, and experiences can be chosen on a ‘mix and match’ basis, giving guests the freedom to delve into what they are passionate about and experience a holistic journey through the area.
