Delta has begun selling tickets for its first flights that will feature the new Delta One suites in business class and the Delta Premium Select premium economy cabin.
The new cabins will make their debut on Oct. 30 as Delta begins flying the Detroit-Tokyo Narita route with its first Airbus A350 aircraft. Delta will also offer Delta One suites and Delta Premium Select beginning Nov. 16 on select flights between Detroit and Seoul and on select flights between Detroit and Beijing beginning Jan. 17.
Each Delta One suite will feature a full-height sliding door. Sliding privacy dividers separate center suites.
In addition to lie-flat seats with memory foam, the suites will have customizable ambient lighting; dedicated stowage compartments for headphones, shoes and laptops; USB ports and universal power outlets; and 18-inch television screens.
With the debut of Delta Premium Select, Delta will become the second U.S. carrier to offer a dedicated premium economy cabin on international flights. American debuted its Premium Economy cabin on Boeing 789-900 Dreamliners in late 2016 and is now offering the cabin class on select international routes.
Delta Premium Select passengers will get seats with up to 38 inches of space between rows, 19 inches of width and seven inches of recline. The seats will have adjustable headrests and leg rests. Service offerings include in-seat blankets and pillows, amenity kits and noise cancelling headphones.
Delta Premium Select will also feature in-flight entertainment screens of up to 13.3 inches, as well as enhanced meal service compared to the economy cabin.
