German low-cost airline, Eurowings, will launch a new seasonal route from Cologne Bonn Airport in Germany, to Hosea Kutako International Airport in Namibia from July 12.

The airline will operate two weekly direct flights.

Between July 12 and August 31, the flight will depart Cologne on Wednesdays at 20h40 and arrive in Windhoek at 06h10 the following morning. The return flight departs Windhoek 21h40 on Thursdays and arrives in Cologne at 09h05 the next day. Between September 6 and October 26, the flight from Cologne will depart on Wednesdays at 20h40 and arrive in Windhoek at 07h10 the following morning. The return flight will depart Windhoek at 22h40 on Thursdays and arrive in Cologne at 09h05 the next day.

Between July 16 and August 28, the flight from Cologne will depart every Sunday at 21h00 and arrive in Windhoek at 06h30 the following morning. The return flight will depart Windhoek at 22h00 on Mondays and arrive in Cologne at 09h25. Between September 3 and October 23, the flight from Cologne will depart on Sundays at 21h00 and arrive in Windhoek at 07h30. The return flight will depart Windhoek at 23h00 and arrive in Cologne at 09h25 the next day.

The route will be operated with an Airbus A330.

“The time was right for us to introduce this route in the light of the growing business and tourism demands for routes to Southern Africa,” said André Schulz, Lufthansa Southern Africa General Manager.
