Nyali International Beach Hotel and Spa in Mombasa, Kenya, will next month undergo refurbishment to the tune of Ksh100 million (roughly $1 million).

The hotel last underwent renovation five years ago.

Built in 1946, the property is one of the oldest beach hotels in Mombasa.

New GM, Lucy Kimani says the works entail the renovation of 179 rooms. The refurbishment of the rooms will be done in phases so that the hotel can continue its operations.

Kimani added that the management also plans to construct a gym.
