This hotel occupies floors 79 to 93 of the Shanghai World Financial Center. So while the building is taller than the International Commerce Centre where The Ritz-Carlton (listed below) is located, the hotel doesn’t quite reach the same heights.
That’s all just numbers though, because it’s still the world’s second highest hotel and you may find yourself staring out at cloud height over the vast urban center of one of China’s great cities, including the Huangpu River.

The Ritz-Carlton tops the world’s highest hotels list with 118 floors of leisure and luxury crowned by a rooftop bar. If you’ve come for the views, it’s a veritable feast with a portrait of the Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline visible from the 312 guest rooms.
The hotel is located within the International Commerce Centre ans sits above Elements Shopping Mall where luxury brands, Chinese and Western dining, and a movie theater are available. Below is also the China coach bus station, where you can catch a bus straight to the airport on your way home.
St. Regis Shenzhen, China

Standing like a soaring beacon above the populated and prosperous city of Shenzen is St. Regis, the 442m steel-and-glass Kingkey 100 tower. Also known as the KK100 tower, it is not only the tallest building in the city, but the eighth tallest in the world.
Located on floors 75 to 100 is the Starwood property of St. Regis Shenzhen. In these top 28 floors are 257 guest rooms and 40 suites, restaurants, lounges, bars, a spa and an indoor swimming pool with a view of the city.
Grand Hyatt Shanghai, China

Another sky-scraping feature of “The Vertical Complex City” is the 421m Jin Mao Tower and within it, the Grand Hyatt that occupies floors 51 to 87.
The 548 guestrooms of the Grand Hyatt are all luxury and class and have long been a magnet for business and leisure travelers. For excellent Shanghainese food, make sure to stop by Club Jin Mao where you can eat dinner overlooking the twinkling view.
Four Seasons Guangzhou, China

It’s hardly surprising that so many Chinese properties feature in this list given their aptitude for architectural projects, but here’s yet another one. The Four Seasons is located in the 100-storey Guangzhou International Finance Center on floors 74 to 98. Floors 99 and 100 are used as an observation deck.
There are 344 luxurious guest rooms and suites in this skyscraper that feature marble bathrooms, original artwork and floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the heavenly view that include sights of the city and the Pearl River.
85 Sky Tower Hotel, Kaohsiung hotel, Taiwan
Height: 348m
Shifting from China, finally, is 88 Sky Tower Hotel, formerly The Splendor Hotel Kaohsiung. It occupies floors 37 to 70 of the Tuntex Sky Tower in the harbor city of Kaohsiung. The hotel also owns the observation deck on floor 74 that can be accessed by non-paying guests for a small fee. From here, there are fabulous views of the harbor, river and the city.
The 592 rooms are accessed by high-speed elevators that can whiz you up to the top of the tower in seconds. Other facilities include a business meeting center, gym, swimming pool, and underground parking.
