Waterbeds might have been all the rage in the 1980s, but they’ve come a long way since then, especially when you try bareboating the Whitsundays.
Make the most of the fact you don’t even need a licence to rent a multi-million dollar sailing yacht and take to the open water.
Jump aboard A Little Bit Nauti, who lives up to her name and lets you and 10 friends bring the nature.
With four glamorous double cabins, a dining area, and two bathrooms, she’s a celebration boat best suited to a Gatsby-style sailing adventure.

PLAN AHEAD: DAYDREAM ISLAND (APRIL 2019)
If you’ve long dreamt of a tropical island getaway that’s got everything within arm’s reach (we’re talking room service, massages, private tours, you name it!), get ready to make it a reality when Daydream Island reopens in 2019.
In April 2019, Daydream Island will cut its ribbon after undergoing a $90million renovation following Cyclone Debbie.
It promises a reveal as jaw dropping as Grand Designs, with a full refurbishment of all 277 rooms, arrivals pavilion, marina and restaurants, along with the living reef and turtle rehabilitation centre.
Good things come to those who wait, so if you’re planning 2019 in advance, this property is one to watch.
PLAY LATER: INTERCONTINENTAL HAYMAN ISLAND (2019)
The northernmost island of the Whitsundays contingent is about to get a little bit fancy, with the launch of a new 166-room Intercontinental Hayman Island.
The hotel will have exclusive use of the 400-hectare island, with guests accessing the island resort by luxury boat transfer or private helicopter.
Over $100 million will be poured into the island before it opens July 2019, with guests treated to suite-style rooms, multiple restaurants, lush gardens and plenty of entertainment space to start planning those destination Whitsunday weddings.
