KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Air Mauritius are to suspend their joint venture operations between Mauritius and Amsterdam.

The suspension will come into effect on October 27, at the start of the 2019 Iata winter season.

The current joint operations on the two weekly flights operated by Air Mauritius will continue throughout the Iata summer season, ending on October 26. Passengers with tickets beyond this date will either be rebooked on to other flights, or will be eligible for a refund, according to a statement released by KLM.

The joint venture between Air France and Air Mauritius will not be affected by the suspension of the Amsterdam-Mauritius route. Travellers will still be able to travel via Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport to Mauritius, with twice daily flights.
