Tongole Wilderness Lodge in Malawi’s Nkhotakota Wilderness Reserve has rebranded to Tongole Wilderness Retreat.
Newly branded as a retreat, the lodge aims to reconnect guests with the surrounding nature and to disconnect from technology. A statement from Malawi Tourism says a stay at Tongole “creates a healthy life balance and re-energises its guests”, attributing this to the tranquil surroundings and fresh air.
The luxury lodge has five open-plan rooms, excellent dining, and adventure activities such as canoeing on the Bua River and bush walks.
The reserve has also recently been restocked with wildlife by African Parks and the rugged terrain and tall vegetation make a wildlife sighting a special experience.
