THE Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and Malaysia Airlines (MAS) have joined forces to ink a one-year strategic partnership agreement.

The airline will be MyCEB’s preferred choice of carrier for business events. MyCEB CEO Zulkefli Sharif said that with the help of MAS, MyCEB hopes to secure more business and event deals from China, India and Indonesia.

The agreement will encourage both parties to work together to up the volume of international business events in the country, namely in the oil and gas, and medical sectors.

MyCEB also aims to elevate its business tourism offerings through the partnership, and hopes to set a precedence for other industry experts.

MAS head of sales Laurent Recoura said that guests who choose Malaysia for business tourism will benefit from the internationally accredited conference facilities.

It was recently reported that MAS recorded positive growth for the first time in years.
