The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) will increase entry fees at the province’s various nature reserves, effective from December 1.

The agency has implemented a general increase based on 4.5% inflation rate for all product offerings.

“The annual increase in tariffs provides us with an opportunity to use the funds to improve our facilities and the viewpoints at all our main nature reserves in order to provide visitors with the best possible experience”, said Johannes Nobunga, CEO of MTPA.

Last month, the agency launched a new hiking trail for tourists at the Kromdraai Camp in the Songimvelo Nature Reserve.
