A new lodge, Ku Sungula Safari Lodge, in the Big-5 Balule Private Game Reserve, has opened.
The lodge has five rondavels in a fenced camp overlooking a seasonal river. One rondavel is wheelchair accessible and is in the centre of the camp. Each rondavel has a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, overhead fan and coffee/tea facilities.
The bar and swimming pool area, with pool loungers and towels, overlook the dry riverbed and an active waterhole. All meals are served outside on the terrace or in the boma, but the restaurant is available when the weather is not ideal. There is also a lounge with coffee- and tea-making facilities.
Activities include game drives, bush walks, and horseback safaris.
