Safari Home, a Division of Safari Air Wing, has opened Shidzidzi Safari Home in the Welgevonden Game Reserve, Limpopo.

The property caters specifically for multi-generational family safari vacations. Ten guests are accommodated on a private-use basis only and facilities comprise a central main area with family units on either side. There is a play room for children, a main lounge, a second lounge, bar, dining room and an outside dining and lounge area. A boma is available for bush dinners and there is a large deck with a swimming pool.

A Little Ranger Book has a variety of children’s wildlife activities, stories, colouring-in pictures, animal and animal track identification pictures, bush survival skills, wildlife puzzles and short wildlife stories. Children can also join in field work tasks with a private guide.

A secure walking trail for children within the confines of the Safari Home is ideal for identifying trees, grasses, birds, and insects.

The lodge can be accessed by daily scheduled flights from Grand Central Airport in Johannesburg to Waterberg Gateway Aerodrome Vaalwater followed by a 20-minute road transfer to Welgevonden Game Reserve.

Alternatively, a three-and-a-half-hour road transfer from Johannesburg to the reserve main gate can be arranged.
