Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort has appointed a new executive chef, Andre Piednoir.

He will be overseeing the 11 restaurants and bars at the five-star destination on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, including the brand-new Buddha-Bar Beach.

Piednoir has over 35 years of experience in five-star hotels, resorts, pastry shops and Michelin-starred restaurants across the world.

He was previously appointed as the executive chef for a number of The Ritz-Carlton hotels including Istanbul, Tel Aviv and most recently, Astana.

Mazagan is excited to welcome this accomplished chef in time for the opening of their newest restaurant – Buddha-Bar Beach – which opened its doors mid-July.

Founded by Raymond Visan, this will be Buddha-Bar’s first outpost in Africa, and brings a selection of Eastern-inspired Mediterranean dishes, vibrant DJ sets, and a unique laid-back atmosphere.

Piednoir said: “I am delighted to be part of the Mazagan team – the resort has an exceptional food and beverage offering and showcases a larger variety of cuisines, restaurants and bars than anywhere I have worked before.

“This new role presents a great opportunity for me to be creative and implement my experiences from across the globe into each outlet.”
