Primera Air has announced its London Stansted Airport winter schedule with transatlantic flights to New York, Toronto and Washington DC commencing from October 31st.

The flights will be fully operated by its new fleet of Airbus A321neo planes.

Following its spring UK launch, Primera Air has experienced high demand across its transatlantic flights with the London Stansted–New York route proving particularly popular.

In response to this, Primera Air will continue its daily flights to New York with the winter schedule also seeing three flights per week to Toronto and four flights per week for the anticipated Washington DC route which commences on August 22nd.

Primera’s seasonal London Stansted–Boston route will make its return to the schedule in early 2019.

Anastasija Visnakova, Primera Air chief commercial officer explained: “The demand we’ve seen so far shows there is a lot of interest in the catchment area of London Stansted, including Greater London, Essex and surrounding cities such as Cambridge and Peterborough.

“There is clearly a huge amount of appetite for low-fare transatlantic flights and we’ve seen more than 70,000 passengers booking flights on our new transatlantic routes.

“This gives us a great amount of encouragement to build on the existing routes throughout winter and continue to run a daily operation between London Stansted and New York.”

Primera Air was the first airline in ten years to operate scheduled transatlantic flights from London Stansted Airport – bringing new North American links to the area.
