DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Qatar Airways has suspended all flights to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain until further notice.

The decision comes after major Gulf carriers Emirates and Etihad suspended flights to Qatar. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates cut diplomatic ties with Qatar and shut down land, sea and air links, accusing it of supporting terror groups in the region. Qatar has denied the allegations.

The route between Doha (Qatar’s hub) and Dubai (Emirates’ hub) is popular among business travelers and both are major transit hubs for travelers between Asia and Europe.

In a statement issued on its website, Qatar Airways said the suspension of its flights will go into effect Tuesday. It is offering customers affected by the decision a refund on unused tickets.
