Qatar Airways will begin offering its Qsuite business class pods on Doha-New York flights next month.

The Dec. 16 arrival of the first Qatar Qsuite-configured Boeing 777 will mark the product’s debut in the U.S. Qatar will begin offering Qsuites on flights between Washington Dulles and Doha on Jan. 16.

Unveiled in March, the Qsuite features the airline industry’s first double bed in business class while allowing for up to four individual pods to be conjoined.

Four seats can form one suite on the new Qatar Airways QSuite business class.

The pods are configured in clusters of four, with two side-by-side pods opposing two other side-by-side pods. Passengers can use moveable barriers to keep the pods separate. But they can also adjust the barriers and move TV monitors so that they are clear to interact with each other. Families of four can share meals or play games together from what amounts to a private suite while business teams can conduct meetings. A double bed can be formed by removing the barrier between side-by-side pods.

Qatar flies twice daily to New York and daily to Dulles.
