The four times weekly service will commence in April, as part of Ryanair’s Manchester summer schedule.

Ryanair’s Manchester schedule this summer includes 63 routes in total with eight new routes.

These include departures to Bordeaux, Gothenburg, Kyiv, Marrakech, Marseille, Nantes and Thessaloniki.

The low-cost carrier hopes the routes will deliver over 5.4 million customers through Manchester Airport this year.

Ryanair head of communications, Robin Kiely, said: “Ryanair is pleased to announce a new Manchester route to Billund, commencing in April, which will operate four times weekly, as part of our Manchester summer 2019 schedule.”

Billund is most famous as the birthplace of Lego.
