SeaDream Yacht Club, which halted the sailing of its SeaDream 1 after a guest who had disembarked over the weekend tested positive for Covid-19 after arriving home, said tests of all of its current passengers and crew came back negative Aug. 5.
The company said it hopes to resume its 12-day sailing near Norway on Aug. 6, although it has offered a full refund as well as travel costs for any guests who would prefer to go home.
The sailing was suspended earlier in the day after a Danish guest who disembarked from the ship over the weekend tested positive for the coronavirus during routine testing on arrival in Denmark.
The news followed reports of Covid-19 infections on three other lines that recently resumed cruising, including UnCruise, Paul Gauguin Cruises and Hurtigruten.
SeaDream said neither the guest who tested positive nor any passengers or crew showed symptoms. In accordance with Danish health procedures, the guest will be tested again on Sunday, SeaDream said.
