The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) and trade partners will target the Israeli market with a two-day event in Tel Aviv.

The initiative was prompted by the STB with the aim of highlighting the diversity of the Seychelles to Israeli clients.

Air Seychelles, destination management companies and hotel partners will participate in the event, which will host press meetings and trade workshops for tour operators and travel agents.

DMCs Creole Travel Services, Mason’s Travel and 7-Degrees South will be present, and hotels represented will include Four Seasons Seychelles, Frégate Island Private, Avani Seychelles, The H Resort Beau Vallon Beach, Constance Hotels & Resorts and Raffles.

The delegation will also conduct sales calls and hold business-to-business meetings while they are in Tel Aviv.

Sherin Francis, STB Chief Executive, said the event would help to open up Seychelles to the Israeli market.

“Israel is not a new venture for Seychelles. We count about five to seven chartered flights from this specific part of the world annually. We are now consolidating our foundations in ensuring that the product is packaged in the most attractive way to increase its reach and motivate Israelis to have a unique travel experience that is the Seychelles experience,” said Francis.

The event, which follows the visit of Seychelles Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, Didier Dogley, to Israel in February this year, aims to create a platform for the tourism trade in Tel Aviv in anticipation of the weekly flight scheduled by Air Seychelles from November.
