Time Hotels has announced four new major appointments across its sales, communications, e-commerce and training divisions.

UAE-headquartered hospitality company, Time Hotels, has announced four new senior appointments across its sales and marketing, communications, ecommerce and training operations to lead the company in its next phase of growth ahead of Expo 2020 and beyond.

The new appointments include Prasanth Janarthanan, director of sales; Shawn Anthony Vaz, digital e-commerce manager; Ajaz Wani, area materials manager; and Meenakshi Singh, cluster training manager.

“They bring a wealth of experience in their chosen fields of expertise and will be crucial to the success of our extensive activity pipeline for 2019 and beyond.

With more than 18 years’ experience, Janarthanan has worked with a range of global hospitality brands including Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Habtoor Hotels, Carlton Hotels and most recently for Time Hotels where he was director of sales for both Time oak Hotel & Suites as well as Time Grand Plaza Hotel, before being promoted to his new position where he will oversee sales for the Time Hotels Portfolio.

Taking charge of all Time Hotels’ website and all social media requirements is digital e-commerce manager, Shawn Anthony Vaz.

Maximising 14 years of digital experience in the hospitality industry, Vaz will be responsible for website redevelopment and branding, social media management and content development.

Vaz has previously held roles at Emirates Palace Hotel, Kempinski Hotels – Mall of the Emirates and JA Resorts & Hotels.

With almost 20 years’ experience, Wani has been appointed as the new area materials manager, where he will develop a centralised procurement and materials management operation which covers all strategic business units including hotels, apartments, food and beverage and facility management across the Time Hotels Portfolio.

Rounding out the new appointments is new cluster training manager, Meenakshi Singh.

With over nine years of hospitality industry experience in the UAE and India, Singh will be responsible for, among other roles, implementing training development opportunities for all members of staff across Time Hotel properties.
