CAMBODIA’S Sihanoukville province will host the Mekong Tourism Forum 2016 from July 5-7 which will explore tourism opportunities and challenges in the Mekong region.

The event – hosted by the Cambodia Ministry of Tourism – will be attended by tourism ministers, director generals, travel industry CEOs and leading private sector and development minds.

Some of the high-profile speakers include Joe Cummings, editor-at-large and author at Lonely Planet, Captain Woranate Laprabang, CEO of Thai Smile Airways, and Luu Meng, renowned chef in Cambodia.

Topics that will be covered include the future of travel marketing for SMEs, marketing to Chinese and Indian consumers, river-based tourism in the Mekong region, food tourism, and green accommodation in the area.

The event has been running for three decades now, and is free of charge for all tourism professionals.
