A 51-metre glass elevator at the new Graskop Gorge adventure centre, is being developed by the Graskop Gorge Lift Company.

Initially when Tourism Update reported on the development, the article did not make clear who the developers were. Tourism Update apologises for any confusion caused.

The Graskop Gorge Lift Company is owned by Lowveld businessmen Oupa Pilane, James Sheard, and Campbell Scott. Pilane is the current president of the Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business Tourism and a well-known figure in the province. Sheard and Scott developed the Long Tom Toboggan and Skyway Trails, respectively.

The adventure centre is a public-private partnership with the Thaba Chweu municipality through its local economic development agency, Thaleda, and the National Empowerment Fund is a shareholder.
