Icelandic discount carrier Wow Air has upgraded its top-end bundled fare package as it retrofits aircraft to include premium seats.

Wow Premium has replaced the bundle formerly called Wow Biz. The primary difference between them is that the Wow Premium bundle guarantees a seat with at least 37 inches of space between rows while Biz merely guaranteed a seat with 32 inches of legroom. Like Wow Biz did, Wow Premium includes priority boarding and in-flight meals and drinks. Wow Premium tickets also come with fast-track security, two checked bags and a carry-on.

Wow is in the process of retrofitting its fleet of 20 Airbus A320s, A321s and A330 with its BigSeat, featuring the extra legroom, more width and a footrest. The carrier expects all of its routes will have premium seats by the end of the year.

Wow Premium augments the carrier’s less extensive Wow Plus and Wow Comfy bundled packages. Basic Wow tickets allow passengers only one personal item that can fit under a seat and don’t include drinks or meals.

A spot check of Wowair.com showed Wow Premium tickets that cost between $300 and $500 more than one-way basic tickets.
